Of customs and baggages-a happy post

I'm sorry to be so 'potong' and post a happy post in the middle of all that is going on in here, but i just have to anyway.

ANYWAY, i'm HOME! :)

As usual, it was an interesting singapore-to-senai airport journey. As always. Thank God i had a MAS coach right from copthorne orchid to senai. I absolutely cannot take the drama of taking a 170 to larkin then take a yellow bus (smiling as it is advertised to be) while struggling with my 4 bags.

Haha, had tons of fun trying to squeeze everything into my bags. The night before, me and irene (w) were trying to fit everything that i hadn't packed into my suitcase and duffel bag that was already full to the max.

let's just say it was an interesting task. Haha, it's actually sort of like working out a jigsaw puzzle (so we were going, hmm... how do we arrange that so we can fit this in? and shifting the things around in the bag over and over again) to find the best orientation for every single object to maximise the storage space.

WARNING: please DO NOT dump everything into your luggages when you guys pack. I would recommend taking a ruler and a piece of paper, measure the exact size of everything you need to pack, and then work out carefully (using all the wonderful mathematics skills we have learnt) on how to arrange each and every object in the suitcase.

Anyway, like they always do at the malaysian checkpoint (what's it called again?), our wonderful malaysian customs officers do a random bag check.

I think they hate blue bags with a pink ribbon (that's for easy identification). especially bulging ones.

They picked my bag!! every single time i go back they pick that same bag of mine. What's wrong with theM???

Anyway... imagine the trauma. If it took so much work for me and irene to close that bag, how long would it take for me to close it back after i've opened it up, showed it to the officer that i'm really only an innocent hardworking student who accidently overpacked, then close it back on?

So i told the guy, sorry sir, it's going to take me a lot of work to close it back on later.

I opened it up, assured him that that that hard thing below my clothes was just a file and not a box of drugs, then with his help (i'm sure i made him guilty for picking my bag) and closed it. Quite easily actually.
Haha...

So you see, with the correct orientation of every single object in the bag, it's actually quite possible to overstuff a suitcase and still re-open and close it easily.

My, my, packing is such an exhausting task. It requires just as much thinking and brainstorming as doing maths tutorials.

Never underestimate the power of packing smart.

Whatever. Haha. :) Enjoy work, guys!
