hi guys(you know who you are), i am assuming we all are interested in getting common accomodation when we're down in Singapore to collect our A level results, so i've looked up the backpackers' hostels in Singapore (for financial reasons), and here are some suggestions, in descending order of how central the location of the hostel is, and type of lodging stated are the cheapest each hostel offers: 1. Summer Tavern -Carpenter Street, Boat Quay -10 bed or 22 bed, mixed dorm SGD20.00 (per person per night) -4 bed, private, shared bathroom SGD 25.00 2. Backpacker Cozy Corner Guesthouse -Northbridge -6 bed, mixed dorm SGD 13.50 3. Bugis Backpackers -2 minutes from Bugis MRT -10 bed, mixed dorm SGD20.00 4. A Travellers Rest-stop -Chinatown -6 bed, mixed dorm, Ensuite (super plus factor!!) SGD18.00 5. The Hive -Lavender -10 bed, mixed dorm SGD 16.00 They all come with breakfast, linen, laundry services (if you need), air-conditioning, no curfews, etc. Decent, in my opinion, but note that the prices stated might not include taxes and service charge, except for Summer Tavern (which I vote for... cos the pictures looked nice!). Please do give your opinions as we'd like to make reservations soonest possible. Do also suggest when we should travel down by bus, and how long does each of us plan to stay. I personally suggest taking a midnight bus on tuesday (so that we can accomodate su yee as well), and save a night on checking in on Wednesday, since they do provide 24-hour check-in services.
